honeymoon climates

Finding it tricky deciding where you want to jet off to on your honeymoon. Once you’ve decided on what type of weather you’d prefer to encounter, narrowing your options should be easier. Fantastic warm weather can keep you in high spirits and allows you to explore your destination to its full potential. However snow may be your idea of fantastic weather if winter sports is yours and your partners idea of a perfect honeymoon. See below for the most popular destinations by month, according to their climate. This will help you plan according to the time of year your wedding is going to take place.

January & February – Great time of year for the adventurous winter sport fanatics to visit Canada or parts of Europe like Switzerland and France. Enjoy some of the best skiing destinations within a romantic winter wonderland.

March - March is at the end of summer in South Africa, so the weather is perfect and not too hot. Other lovely temperatures at this time of year can be found in Southern parts of the United States such as the Florida keys or Hawaii.

April - A perfect time for a cruise off the coast of Florida or around the Caribbean or enjoy temperatures at South America or even the Bahamas.

May & June - A great spot for May honeymoons is in Thailand, where the weather is not too hot and its less crowded before the school summer holidays (and cheaper!) The beautiful scenery is seen at its best during this period of comfortable weather in destinations around Europe including France, Italy or Spain.

July & August - The UK’s summer months. By-pass any monsoon seasons and travel to the Far East at this time of year to far away islands in Malaysia or Thailand. Central and South Africa are also good places to visit during this period.

September - As you well know as the weather changes for the worse in the Western hemisphere, it is becomes lovely here in Australia. The diverse range of cities, National Parks and stunning coastlines of Australia are at their most beautiful during this month. The climate is wonderful all up and down our vast continent, so the choices are endless.

October - Bali Indonesia has a great relaxing climate at this time of year with a perfect combination of hot weather and cooler evenings.

November - Australia & New Zealand are great places to honeymoon in through November. Or for those winter wonderlands destinations for some fantastic snow sports, a colder climate can be experienced in Canada again or in parts of the United States such as Colorado.

December - A hectic time of year to travel due it being the festive season, however central and southern Africa would be ideal countries to visit for warmer weather in December. Alternatively, again if you’re looking for the colder climates Canada, New York and all other parts of New England in the United States would fulfill your wintry cravings.
